Note To Self Unending (monologues and lullabies)
Note To Self Unending (monologues and lullabies) is a collection of semi-improvised spoken word and music. It was recorded, almost entirely, through a dictaphone. Taking the form of an audio scrapbook, the eleven tracks paint an abstract portrait of insomnia, loneliness and personal growth.
Each track speaks with its own unique voice and rhythm. An echo of the detached moment where it was first conceived. They are confessions, anxieties and dreams of better yesterdays. Disparate thoughts linked by the same breath.
What started as a simple experiment during 2020 lockdown, becomes a collage of creative instinct. And the first step toward braver storytelling.
(Album contains infrequent coarse language. Some content/audio may be mildly distressing for those who struggle with anxiety and/or sensory issues.)
